Why sign up for a parent-teacher conference?
Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity for teachers and parents to meet, often for the first time, and have an open discussion about the student’s academic performance. Topics discussed may include observations of the student’s overall progress in the class, specific strengths and weaknesses, suggestions for ways the student can grow, helpful resources, and answers to any questions the family might have.

Here are a few details about how to prepare for and request a conference, as well as a few ideas on how you can set your student up for success throughout the entire year.
- Log in to your parent or student portal to identify a course or two for which you’d like to schedule a parent-teacher conference. We recommend scheduling conferences for only the courses needing the most improvement. Throughout the rest of the year, we recommend you log in at least once a week to monitor your student’s progress and grades.
- Conferences take place twice a year.
- You can anticipate hearing from your student’s teacher to schedule a meeting time. Teachers will reach out via email in the order the requests are received. If your student is struggling, please don’t wait for a conference to contact us. We are here to help!

*Conferences are conducted monthly with the Primary School Coordinator. No parent-teacher conference registration is needed.
