Prerequisite: Keyboarding I
Premium Elective: $50
Keyboarding II is an elective designed to help students learn how to type. Designed to follow Keyboarding I, this is a two-unit course. The first unit focuses on proper finger placement, common English words, using the shift key to capitalize letters, intermediate punctuation, and typing short sentences and short paragraphs. In the second unit, students will type portions of Scripture from the book of Psalms as they continue to fine-tune the skills practiced in Keyboarding I and the first unit of this course.
Upon completion of the course, students will have an even stronger knowledge of proper finger placement, be able to type common words along with short sentences and short paragraphs, and be able to type capital letters. In addition, they will become more familiar with several well-known Psalms. This will also prepare the student to take Keyboarding III, a more advanced typing course, to continually improve their typing skills as they prepare for online education and a world where typing is an essential skill in the Information Age.
