Reasons You May Not Be Receiving an Email

There are a number of reasons why you may not be receiving some or all emails from Enlightium Academy even after enrolling. The following are the most common:

 

1. The emails are going to spam or promotion folders in your inbox 

Check all folders in your inbox for emails with the word “Enlightium”. If there are recent emails from Enlightium in your spam or promotions folder, your email provider may think that emails from Enlightium are junk.

Solution: You need to whitelist enlightiumacademy.com.

Whitelisting means you approve of emails coming from a certain domain. You can find directions for whitelisting emails in this article.

 

2. Yahoo email addresses can be problematic

On some occasions, families with a Yahoo.com email address have not received emails from Enlightium. This is due to a server bug. 

Solution: Use an alternative non-Yahoo email account 

If this is the case, the best option is to use an alternate, non-Yahoo email address for communication with Enlightium. If you have any questions about setting this up, feel free to email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

 

3. You withdrew and later re-enrolled your student at Enlightium 

When you withdrew, your email address was added to a list that Enlightium no longer sends emails to. We do this to keep from sending unwanted emails to withdrawn families. However, your email address stays on that list even if you re-enroll at a later date.

4. You unsubscribed

You unsubscribed by clicking the “Unsubscribe” button found at the bottom of our emails.

5. The incorrect email was provided in the Enlightium enrollment form

The reason may be as simple as an error on your enrollment form.

6. You are not listed as the primary parent on your student’s account

Mass emails and progress emails are usually only sent to the primary parent’s email address. 

Solution: Set up a forwarding rule.

In situations where more than one party would like to receive an email, the best solution is to set up a forwarding rule.
